Is it on your way?
- Coming from San José, Arenal, Monteverde or Rincón de la Vieja: yes. The road to Coco, Hermosa and Papagayo goes through Liberia, and stopping here adds almost no time.
- Leaving Liberia airport (LIR): it is not on your way. We are about 15 minutes east of the airport and the beaches are to the west, so stopping here means driving back and forth from the airport, about 15 minutes each way.
- From here to the beach: about 45 minutes to Playas del Coco or Playa Hermosa, and a little over an hour to the Papagayo Peninsula, depending on traffic.
What to eat before the beach
